Connect. Create. Contribute.

Life is better when we are part of something bigger. At High Support Care, we don't just help you "go out"—we help you find your people, discover new passions, and play an active role in your local neighbourhood.

Whether you want to join a local sports club in Cranbourne, attend an art class in Frankston, or simply enjoy a coffee with a friend, our Social & Community Participation supports are designed to make it happen.

Social and Community Participation

Understanding Your NDIS Funding

Did you know NDIS funding for community participation falls into two different categories? We can help you utilise both to get the most out of your plan.

Assistance with Social & Community Participation (Core Supports)

The "Doing" Support. This funding covers the cost of a support worker to accompany you to activities. We provide transport, companionship, and personal care while you are out and about. Examples: going to the movies, attending a concert, visiting the library, or going on a holiday camp.

Increased Social & Community Participation (Capacity Building)

The "Learning" Support. This funding is for building your independence so you can participate with less support in the future. We provide mentoring and coaching to help you build skills. Examples: learning to use public transport, tuition for joining a sports team, or emotional regulation classes to help you manage social anxiety.

Explore Your Interests

We believe everyone deserves a life full of variety. We tailor our activities to what you love.

Social & Recreational: Group outings—BBQ days, picnics at the beach, visits to the zoo or aquarium. Hobbies—photography walks, music classes, cooking programs, gaming groups. Sports—swimming, gym sessions, bowling, or joining an adaptive sports team (like wheelchair basketball).

Civic & Community Contribution: Volunteering—we support you to give back at local charities or animal shelters. Events—attending local festivals, markets, and cultural celebrations in the South East. Personal development—workshops on confidence building and public speaking.
