Your home should be more than somewhere you sleep. It should be a place where you feel secure, respected, and able to live the life you choose.
High Support Care offers a full range of NDIS-funded accommodation options to suit different needs and life stages. Whether you need a short break, somewhere to stay while you wait for your permanent home, or ongoing support to live independently, our team will help you find the right fit.
The NDIS funds several types of accommodation based on your assessed needs. Our team can help you understand what you're eligible for and how to make the most of your plan.
Sometimes you need time away from your usual routine. Short-Term Accommodation, or STA, offers stays of up to 14 days with accommodation, meals, and round-the-clock support included. Ideal for carers who need a break, participants exploring independence, or anyone wanting a change of scene with peers.
Explore Respite OptionsWhen you're between homes or waiting for modifications, MTA provides a safe place to live for up to 90 days. This option bridges the gap when you're leaving hospital, waiting for home adjustments, or transitioning between tenancies.
Check MTA AvailabilitySIL covers the support side of housing. Our staff come into your home—whether you live alone or share with others—to assist with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care, 24 hours a day. Suited to participants who need ongoing support to live independently in the community.
Learn About SIL
We believe a house is built with walls, but a home is built with people who care.
At High Support Care, we focus on creating living environments where you feel comfortable and in control. Our approach includes:
We take time to match people based on age, interests, and lifestyle so that shared homes feel welcoming and harmonious.
Our accommodation is modern, accessible, and located near local amenities and public transport.
In our homes, you decide how things run. We support you to manage your household in a way that works for you.
If you're unsure what accommodation funding you have, our intake team can review your NDIS plan and explain your budget in plain language. We'll help you understand your options and connect you with the right support.
Short-Term Accommodation, also called respite, is funded by the NDIS for stays of up to 14 days. It covers your accommodation, meals, and 24/7 support. It's often used when carers need a break, when participants want to try independent living, or for a short stay away from home.
Medium-Term Accommodation is for stays of up to 90 days when you're in transition. Common situations include leaving hospital, waiting for home modifications to be completed, or moving between tenancies. MTA gives you a safe place to live while your long-term housing is being arranged.
Supported Independent Living (SIL) pays for the support staff who help you with daily tasks in your home. Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) pays for the physical building—the house or apartment itself. You can have one, both, or neither, depending on your NDIS plan and needs.
